Are you in conflict with your business partner? Maybe you’ve been business partners for a while and you find yourselves shifting, having differing opinions and going in two different directions. What happened to the way we used to be? Are we willing to change?

Ask yourself these two questions:

Are my business partner and I in conflict about principles and where we are headed as a company?

Are my business partner and I in conflict over personality differences?

If you and your business partner are still on the same page with where the business is heading and you are aligned in your principles there is room for for growth in your business. Your personality differences can be a gift. They might even lead into the principle that your company values diverse thinking.

If you are no longer on the same page with your business partner about where the company is headed it might be time to part ways. Get clear with your business partner and be real. Have the difficult conversations. It will be worth it to be open and have the courageous conversations.

In this position now. Got into a partnership w a guy that promised to help with everything & actually does nothing & isn't willing to make any sacrifices for the business like I have. He also doesn't know anything about the industry where I've been in the industry for 20yrs. He was a Green Beret & has a really hard time taking any direction from me whatsoever.
