Great help! EXCEPT: How do I check the charge strength on the pencil? It would be really nice if Apple simply gave instructions how to set-up the Pencil with it. (The packaging is lovely, but the gorgeous, tastefully pale gray print is SO pale it is nearly invisible).

The pencil won’t work with Notes unless you’re in the cloud, according to the pop up on my iPad.

Charging when your battery is dead is an old urban myth. It's 2017, technology has progressed

I prefer 3rd party pencil. No pairing hassle. The only shortcoming is pressure sensitivity but worth it for note taking.
