I grew up in Price, UT, and made this trip perhaps a couple hundred times. If you're headed to I-70 from SLC on I-15, take the 6 East down through Carbon County and get the 70 at Grand Junction. You'll be happy you took the detour.

I took US Hey 6 through here in April 1994 from Spanish Fork (well, started in Salt Lake and took I-15 to Spanish Fork) to US Hey 6 en route to Albuquerque, New Mexico vis US Hwy 191 to US Hey 666 (it was still 666 when I went but it is now 491) to I-40...but the ONE thing about this trip is the SCENERY! Although I took the road at night, once you got out of Spanish Fork until you reached Price and Helper, it was SO ISOLATED. I can't remember the name of that huge mine that was there, but coming across it in the dead of night was very eerie, like the earth may have split open, as the sky was very, very bright. I will never forget my trip that night. Great fun!

Thanks for sharing this! I’m an OTR trucker, and I’m usually driving central and East coast. Haven’t taken this route yet, let alone 70 west of Denver. Wanted to see what to expect. Thanks for also posting the signs as they came across!

Love the sunshine mornings
In helper.
Specially in spring.
Scary when it rains hard

I remember going down this highway as a kid. It seemed like it took hours.

Love your videos! Especially in this difficult times, when one can't travel to the US and take a road trip on your scenic roads, I enjoy this even more.

I wonder what we will see next. That's the suspense of videos like these- when the youtuber is driving in an area you've never driven before, you wonder what is next down the line, especially if it's in a scenic state like Utah.

The yellow lignage in some segments look like what's used for the median left turn only lane, which I find weird.

I remember when deer accidents was a big problen in utah.
I was very close to have a pretty bad accident in 2007
Due to more then one hundred deer in the midle of i70 west 15 miles to i15 junction.
So i had to stay at a hotel in beaver ut.
And like around 4 am all hunters were ready to finish them all.
No tags require.
Free to kill as many as you want.
by law.
Went back in 2010 and notice they biulded a 8f
Fence in that area.
Love your videos and
music give the perfect touch.

Rode my bicycle across USA.
Went from Spanish fork to Duchesne.
Went almost to Price 60 miles.
Then turned L and 54 more miles to
Duchesne. I was one tired puppy when I got there as the sun was going down.

I was planning a vacation to Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, and Arizona late summer/early fall. But with me not working due to the pandemic, I will likely have to shorten the trip, or cancel it entirely.

11:10 - That's so screwed-up. There's a Rt 6/191 junction where I grew up in Honesdale PA, lol.😁😊

Why doesn't the 6 get upgraded to a 4 lane divided highway or even a freeway considering it's the direct link between Denver and Salt Lake City.
