Everybody's always talking about Steve Clark.. and i love him... but my favorite guitar man is Phil Collen, such melodic master on six string... just listen to Adrenalize.. he played both Steve's parts and his own.. such an incredible guitarist with impeccable taste...he will always be my hero... i don't care what anybody says.. nobody sounds like him... in my book he is as good as Steve when it comes to songwriting and harmonizing.. Besides, it is his husky gravel voice all over the choruses on their albums.. without his voice, just like without Richie Sambora's voice on Bon Jovi albums, there would have never ever been huge Def Leppard sound... his playing tone and vocal tone is immaculate..
