"It is said that in Ulthar, which lies beyond the river Skai, no man may kill a cat;" Cats ARE our allies against the evil things that lurk unseen.

Lmao I had to do a double take because at first I thought it was “DUCK” Tales: Call of Cthulu.
Cthulu was secretly at the bottom of Scrooge McDuck’s money vault the entire time.

Honestly, I prefer hopeful endings. Yes, the bad guy technically won, but the heroes still have a chance, even if it’s slim.
I just prefer hope, because honestly... What are we without hope? Hope is what drives us, inspires us, lifts us up when everything seems dark, and can ultimately push us to keep fighting, even if it’s a losing battle. True, sometimes that hope may not always bare fruit, but when faced with the unwinnable, I’d rather have hope and keep fighting then just lie down and do nothing.

Everyday they’re out there makin’ DarkTales, woohoo!

3:54 So Magneto didn’t need a helmet to block Professor X out? He just needed a boat? what do you know.
bizarroguy
Would you believe that there are actually figurines out there of Cthulu as an idol girl? In her house at R'lyeh, Cthulu-chan waits dreaming for her senpai.
cassie
I heard somewhere that the way Lovecraft wanted Cthulu was really difficult. As an author, I get that made up words or combinations of words look cool and can be crazy to pronounce.
bleakautomaton
the ending made me realise how hard it must be for moarte keeping that table ordered with linkara and viga's cats in the same house...
marcherwitch
Wonder if that cat had any connection to Randolph Carter?
djquinn
So, Cthulhu lives under the sea, is quite large, spends most of his time sleeping, and is defeated when a boat rams into him.
Is Cthulhu a manatee?
chasemaddigan
6:49 I'm guessing Linkara doesn't let Moarte near his cats even for moments like this.

"Cats are our true allies aganist the Old ones and Cluthlu."
As an owner of six cats I agree
marrons
Lovecraft lore is so interesting. I wonder if Moarte would love playing Bloodbourne? It seems like it be right up his alley with horror and the Eldrich truth

Why you gotta call me out like this, Moarte? I thought we were friends after that thing in LA with the vampires, and the werewolves, and that fox lady who ate a guy's liver. She was nice.
SageofStars
Oh, i thought this was titled duck tales. Whoo hoo!

The way I see it, the fight against old ones in a story like this isn't inevitable. They died, and while their cultists may claim that resurrection of the old ones is inevitable, why do they need the cultists? Said cultists are also much more susceptible to things like gunfire, and a mere yacht was enough to inconvenience cthulu.
Is hope faint? Yes. Hopeless? No.
Sure the protagonists may die, but they did stop the cult, and by extension the old ones.
bthsr
Probably because I just watched the special, but I read the title as 'Duck Tales: Call of Cthulu'
Woo Whoo!!
