The biggest mistake is spending the entire game critiquing your teammates instead of actually focusing on what you are doing.  We all know that guy...

#1, Accusing an Abathur player of being AFK when he's been attached to you several times during fights.

#2, Immediately assuming that any Raynor you see is a newb. (Mind you, I have seen some really bad Raynors, like this one time in BlackHeart's bay, I took on a siege camp at around half health, seeing Raynor walk in I thought I had some help, but instead he just walks in between them and sits there afk, I end up retreating at low HP and he continued sitting there for what seemed like another five minutes. Then later when we were on our deathbed desperately trying to defend the core, the four of us get roflstomped and while our core is being attacked and all of us have another 40 seconds to respawn; where's Raynor? In the top lane securing the vision and attacking doubloon camps. Who accuses us of giving up when we call GG. Just... Don't be that guy okay?)

#3, Chasing heroes with low HP, on your own.

#4, Not using your mount. Whether you're on your way to help an ally, to secure an objective, or even when an opportunity to secure that kill seems possible. Always use your mount.

#5, Not paying any attention to the damn chat. Nuff said.

#6, Playing with a congested connection. (I'm guilty of this. I swear my room mate's must be downloading porn or something.)

Very cool intro for what beginners should keep in mind. What do you feel your biggest mistake usually is in Heroes?

I expected one of these mistakes to be thinking Abathur is AFK

i would have found room for the big problem of "kill chasing" especially during dragon shrines or tribute fights, kill chasing really hurts your team in a big way.

No number 1 is not knowing what Abathur is suppose to do and accuse him for going afk instead

1. Not looking at mini map
2. Not soaking xp
3. Trying to force fights when you should shoving lanes/doing obj. Kills are NOT an objectives.
4. Chasing for kills.
5. Putting way too much value in low impact objectives while ignoring important ones. Example: dying w/ 40 sec+ spawn times to get a merc camp. Makes no sense.

This seems like it's more for people that aren't used to MOBAs in general. As a player of League just getting into Heroes, I don't make these mistakes but sometimes don't know what to be doing because of the extreme lack of communication in chat & pings. Which seems very important given the emphasis on objectives. Anyone have tips on dealing with silent teams?

when i use dragon knight
i'm like "FUCK IT, I'M CHARGING DOWN THIS LANE AND SIEGING THE TURRETS BY MYSELF"

The worst thing players can do is play fucking solo.

Like there is a map event, everyone needs to come, and they chill in some lane and attack towers. As if attacking that tower right now will get us a win.

And then even worse is when they don't listen to you when you tell them to come and help.

Personally I think the #1 and #2 things that I see new players doing that absolutely drives me crazy is:

1) Ignoring map pings / doesn't read chat
2) Complete tunnel vision and just sits in lane when the rest of us are doing objectives and working as a team.

Those are far worse than some of the things mentioned in this video.

After over a thousand matches on this game i can safely say that this game is all about *Team Composition and Team Work*.
Every player on your teams counts, if one guy in your team suck ass...Well, it's pretty much lose most of the time.

Here's my tip, play starcraft 2. Hard game but you learn micro, positioning, and cambering. i've been grandmaster 8x in sc2 and am currently rank 13 in heros after 1 month of playing. Heroes is the only moba i've every played. What I'm saying is if u can't ctrl your whole army, pay attention to it and react. That was the hardest adjustment, assuming my team knew what to do.  Glance at the mini map every half second, help your team & assist objectives. communication is key

I like how heroes of Storm don't complex things like fact is DotA and League of Legends over complex stuff by make gear and hoging XP key part there game play like if level 6 as your team level 8 and enemy level 8 you team lost or if you get wrong iteam it over complex make a fun and fair game into less fair or fun games so thank blizzard for make a good MOBA that with stand time

New players get in stupid fights and die within the first 30 seconds because they think they're bad ass playing an assassin. Ironically aggressive players make the worse assassins.

SUPER IMPORTANT: Ask questions. If you are new, please ask questions. I can't promise every player ever will be nice, and many may not respond, but there are those who WILL answer. You won't get answers if you don't ask.

And seasoned players: PLEASE ANSWER the noob questions, and answer them compassionately, not angrily. You were a noob once, and we all need help from time to time. A lost game with good team relations is better than a won game with bad team relations, and I say that from experience, not simply to sound cool.

Thank you Pay2LoseGaming for the awesome video, and the reminder of how to play! :)

Biggest mistake and most frustrating mistake for new player to make is walk across entire map from bot to top or other way to gank..
