To Make Oats Upma
Oats - 2 Cups ( 1 Cup - 250 Ml )
Onion - 1 No.
Green Chilli - 4 Nos
Ginger
Curry Leaves
Beans - 1 Cup
Carrot - 1 No.
Tomato - 1 No.
Peas - 1/4 Cup
Water - 1/2 Cup
Lemon Juice ( Optional )
Roasted Peanuts
Coriander Leaves
Method:
1. Take oil in a wide pan.
2. Add chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
3. Add asafoetida, chopped onions and slit green chillies.
4. To this mixture, add chopped ginger and curry leaves.
5. Saute all these ingredients for 30 seconds on a medium low flame.
6. Next add chopped beans and carrots.
7. Then add chopped tomatoes and cooked peas.
8. Add turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Saute for a few seconds.
9. Add the rolled oats and give it all a quick mix.
10. Pour water in intervals to cook the oats.
11. Add some salt and mix it all well.
12. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook the upma for 5 mins.
13. Sprinkle some lemon juice, add some roasted peanuts and chopped coriander leaves in the end. Give it all a quick mix.
