I've been looking at this system for a long time and thinking to give it a go. thank god I've tried. so much easier to refill. which the main reason i have not tried any co2 system. its one hour drive and i may need to leave the bottle as supplier may not be able to refill it immediately. this system save me the headache lol

Looks like a perfectly fine system. Especially if you don't have a filling service at hand.

I have two places within a 30 minutes drive were they'll replace the empty bottle for a full one, where you pay for a bottle once, and then just the refills after that.
If I didn't have that, I'd go for this as well.

You can reduce the residue by using the correct ratio of reactants, 460g of citric acid is enough to react with 600g of baking soda (1:1.3), 140g of citric acid is wasted.

It is a good system indeed I have 6 already. And it is much cheeper to maintain and you do not need to have to search for a place where you can refill Co2, only need to buy the products.
