In the Spring of 2021, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and L.L.Bean launched a two-year partnership to expand Boys & Girls Clubs of America's efforts and outdoor recreation programming at Clubs nationwide. This partnership marks Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s first national program of its kind with an outdoor partner, and it will integrate “Social Recreation” through hands-on learning and emotional wellness activities. It also aims to reduce barriers youth may face with outdoor recreation, offering unique and engaging experiences in the outdoors.
Additionally, through Outdoor Discovery Programs (ODPs) at select Boys & Girls Clubs, L.L.Bean will offer expert guides on-site to help youth explore a range of outdoor activities.
With the initial events taking place last summer, this video encompasses testimonials and visuals from Club Youth, staff and the L.L.Bean ODP team enjoying the outdoors and participating in team-building activities.
