Thanks for sharing! Agreed, moving sucks and it does make you realise just how much stuff you have acquired over the years 😀I have the test bench right next to the capture PC, works well for me. All the best with sorting out your logistics and everything...

Good luck on setting everything up, mate!

I’ve been at it for years now, where creating time to do some actual organizing is the biggest hassle.

One great tip: set your priority on organizing your stuff. You’ll be thanking me later!

Cheers!

Congratulations on the move Justin - i can relate when you mention the trauma of domestic turbulence as i had to sell 60% of my console stuff last year along with several towers.
Hope you have fun with your future uploads and wishing you well.

I think it's healthy or maybe useful to move every once in a while and reevaluate storage priorities! 5ish years has been a good cadence for me. It's definitely a challenging experience; I prefer it to be more regular to keep the pain from being too overwhelming.

Glad to see you're making it through despite the challenge, and that you're a little excited about the new space!

I hope doggies are still allowed into the computer room :)

Dude, there absolutely IS enough space in that room for everything and more!..
Underneath every PC stand/table there can be another recessed shelf to sit another PC on.
And you can also go up, for storing a lot of stuff.
Some good smart desks/shelves/furniture; that's what you need. Empty walls in a computer room = wasted space :))

I have some suggestions, as a fellow collector.

Invest in shelves. Lots of them. Also drawers are good for some things. The desks are nice but only set up computers you're going to use very regularly. This isn't a computer museum (as much as we'd all like it to be) So things will need to be shelved.

Sell of what you know you won't use or need, or things you have lots of to fellow collectors, people you know will take good care of the items. Reinvest that into better organizing your existing collection and then go out and find new stuff to hoard.

To keep yourself in check, set boundaries for where your hobby can and cannot exist within your house. If you let it take over your entire space motivation to keep it in check will go down and you will also find yourself in a massive hoarding situation.

I myself have lots of computers and not a lot of space, but you have to know your limits. If you never use something it's better to go to a home that will. I have a hard time getting rid of things and especially something that's just super special. So trust me I get it.

I'm gonna miss the bed-bench and especially the doggies in the background.

you need bigger room. I would love to have huge hall in my house so I will be able to create stations, galleries of good stuff I accumulated over 20 years

If you want to clear clutter, trash all Apple products.
Grats on your new home.
