Super Mario Sunshine gives you the perfect reason to want analogue triggers. In that game the 1 trigger has 2 functions, half press sprays water while running around with the analogue stick, full press stop still and aim with the stick while spraying water. Playing the Switch version of Super Mario Sunshine and having to press different buttons felt wrong. I'm sure developers could come up with creative ways to use this feature if the could be bothered

2:42 they're not essentially analog triggers, they're adaptable, you can literally lock the trigger to set it up as buttons for fps games, and analog triggers for other games like racing ones

The Wii Classic Controller had Analogue L and R buttons, but only the Original, the Classic Controller Pro replaced them by normal/digital L and R Buttons…

So TECHNICALLY the Wii did have Analogue Triggers but not rlly since the Pro Version of that Controller ditched them

Grid racing on switch supported analog via the GameCube controller but it was such an expensive workaround that I never even bothered. Even if switch 2 doesn’t have analog triggers, it would be great if they just supported them as inputs so 3rd party hardware/software designers can decide for themselves.

I hold some worldrecords at driving Games at Speedrun.
Today, a Controller without analog Trigger is a shame.
Racing Games without analog Trigger Work Not well.
I Talk for Games for adult.
No fast start Work Well at Daytona USA without analog.
Grid Autosport at Switch is a good Game, but without analog Gas and Brake, Not realy to Play.
There are no excuses for not installing analog.
Ridiculous.
The Switch 2 is neither for children, as they're internet-dependent,
nor for adults.
They don't give a damn about that crap.

I personally get tired really quickly playing FPS on Xbox and PS5 controllers, thanks Nintendo for the digital triggers 🙏
