Modi's India is building a new base for nuclear-armed submarines in the Bay of Bengal called INS Varsha in a bid to curb China’s naval footprint growing in India’s backyard. The Bay of Bengal is a critical shipping lane and some China experts believe the waterway could play a key role in any conflict over Taiwan or the South China Sea.

1. INS Arihant : 6000 Ton can carry 4 K4 missiles of 3500 km
2. INS Arighat : 6000 Ton can carry 4 K4 missiles of 3500 km
3. INS Aridhaman (S4) : 7000 Ton can carry 8 K4 missiles of 3500 km
4. S4* (Yet to be named) : 7000 Ton can carry 8 K4 missiles of 3500 km

I call this a half-baked journalism. India already has a naval base called Eastern Naval Command in that area which was opened in 1968. And India investing in strengthening its own Navy, nothing much. There are so many big defence projects running in India and this project is just another one!
