Chancellor Wilcox’s Fall Welcome 2024

UC Riverside’s Chancellor Kim A. Wilcox and beloved mascot Scotty Highlander have been getting the campus ready for the start of fall quarter 2024. But over the summer, they caught a bit of Olympics fever and decided to compete in their own set of Olympic-style games in an attempt to win the coveted title of Highlander All-Around.

Announcers Goldie MacTartan and Victor Glasgow bring you the highlights along with commentary from UCR Olympian and alumna Brenda Martinez ‘10. The Chancellor and Scotty compete in squash, boxing, and artistic swimming—though these events get a UCR twist. After final scores are announced, Chancellor and Scotty hold a press conference to discuss the events as well as the most important aspects of UCR.

But the fun doesn’t end there. Scotty needs to show off his breakdance moves before the final wrap.
