How to take any sample containing cells, whether an aspirate from an organ or mass, or a fluid aspirate, and make a slide that can be evaluated in house or sent to a pathologist/cytologist.

I don't understand. I thought that for cytology the simple has to be of a fixed area and volume to count the number of cells in that test quantity?

I would use a small spray bottle with a fine mist to wash off the excess stain on the slides since the cells can be washed off easily if not careful.
