Today we explore a neighborhood of Moscow that most residents would be hard-pressed to find on a map: Kuryanovo. This part of the city has remained largely unchanged since the Soviet post-war period thanks to a variety of factors. Come along as we explore its history and get a glimpse into how people lived, how Kuryanovo came to exist, and its unique architecture.

We were surprised this was part of Moscow. The separate houses and yards were definitely unexpected. After all of the usual hustle and bustle in other areas of the city, the absence of people out walking was very noticeable. Enjoyed the video.

Really interesting, I grew up out side of Detroit kinda looks like royal oak was .
But it's so nice .
I watch other Russian channels and one of the Gail's took us to a smaller city . She was staying in a house and fruit trees and grapes and wild herbs a vegetables where the front yard, no lawn .it was wonderful.and so useful .
She made her lunch from what was growing in the front yard . In the USA there's none of that . Just useless lawn.
