Devante is an utter disappointment. Bench him for either Frankie or Zeb, with the other coming off the bench.

You guys are avoiding the obvious. 33 from 3. In every loss Michigan has shot under 33% from beyond the arc. When Michigan shoots the three DECENTLY they win. When they don’t, they lose. Defense is suspect as well but defense doesn’t change. Intensity does. And that is a bad reflection on team leadership. Or lack thereof.

My biggest problem is what they did with Johns. Listen he has been struggling all year, and then in the last game, where he started again cuz Mousa was sick, he came out and easily dropped 20. But then the moment Mousa is okay, you put Johns right back on the bench, pretty much terminating any and all the confidence he had gained after the previous game. And the thing is, as decent as Mousa has played, that game against Nebraska Johns was a hell of a lot better than Mousa's best game this year, so why the fuck if you can tap into that and grow that would you go back to Mousa starting. Especially when he still barely giving you much better than Johns?

Dickenson is a terrible defender. He is just so effin slow, and there are multiple times where a wing or guard drives and Dickenson is just such a clod he manages to block off his teammate from defending the guy and the opponent drives and scores. He's looking great offensively, but man, i was hoping for some development at the other end. Cuz he's not even a great post defender either.

Jones, is not a PG, plain and simple. He just isn't a good ball handler and for a guy as short as he is - he's really slow. That said, he is at his best when he gets the ball on the outside and drives in. He's got a good first step, and similar to bigger guards like Andre Miller for Utah and then NBA teams like the Nuggets and Blazers, he uses his strength to get to the hoop.

What has Davante done to retain his starting job? At 6’1” when he is on the floor with Eli there is a guaranteed height disadvantage. Problem is of the guards too many are short. I might try Bufkin to see if he can improve with extended minutes. Collins makes mistakes but he is young and might/should improve. Jones has been nothing if not erratic. I have never seen Nunez do anything justifying more playing time. I think you have to keep Diabate at the 5. He doesn’t have an outside game and he will be needed next year when Hunter goes pro. And he has more energy and intensity than anyone else on the floor. Michigan needs his intensity but he needs discipline and a better understanding of spacing and responsibilities.

This team has potential but none of the freshman were starter ready unless they had more help around them. Having three freshman playing major rolls is too much.
