Nice to see Ash raising awareness about the horrendous warranty service of Poco phones.

I had a similar bad experience for my Poco X3 in 2021 (yeah it was a while back but back then nobody seemed to talk about this). Almost after 3-4 months of buying my Poco X3 there screen started to have ghost touches it due to a manufacturing defect. When I went to their service centre, they inspected the phone and said that they would fix it under the warranty. I went home happily but the next day they called and told me there was a dink (like a big scratch) on the plastic frame due to which the warranty was void. I was completely baffled by how a scratch on the frame could affect the screen but arguing with them was of no use.

I went to their service centre (even though it was very difficult to travel during the lockdown) and after arguing a lot they agreed to provide a small ~15% discount which is still atrocious considering my phone was under warranty. Sadly, I had to repair the model with my own money since I just replaced my phone and 3rd party displays weren't even available in the market and it was during the COVID lockdown so I didn't have many options (had to pay around 5K to replace the screen when the original price was around 6K for the repair).

After this horrendous experience I swear to never buy a Poco phone and advice others to do the same.

Hats off for talking about POCO mother board issues. You are right, there are other brands that face hardware issues. But the way poco is handling this well known motherboard issue is really bad. They give silly reason to reject genuine warranty claims rather than taking ownership and giving justice to a poco customer. I am my family's tech guy and I have literally stopped recommending POCO to any one no matter how good of a deal they give. Killing phone with OTA update is shamefull. Don't push update if you are not sure. Worst thing, till date they havn't accepted its their fault. They are blaming customers. Unless they take ownership and do justice, burned poco users will continue to trash them. Rightfully.

My POCO F1 is up and running, and my POCO X2 pro died after updating last month, out of warranty ofcourse, so hell with poco now.

As much as I love XIAOMI, since I also use Poco f1 from 2019 & still running pretty good, but hearing such news like motherboard dead & company neglecting such issues has definitely impacted my ability to see them as a good brand for consumers.
In simple words, such issues are ruining consumers trust or should I say loyal fans of theirs to continue buying their products.
I was planning to upgrade to Xiaomi 13 ultra once it hit the global market but now I have changed my decision solely because of such issues, so I think I will go for iPhone then.

Thanks for addressing warranty issue, it is same for complete xiomi brand. They didn't repair or replace my trimmer with faulty battery just because it had a scratch.

7:28 exactly the OnePlus is doing the same thing to their customers. The green line issue on the display is getting out of hands. And on other hand OnePlus service centers are just pathetic. If possible make a video on this topic ( ** offcourse unless your not sponsored by OnePlus and don't have any fear to post it ).

Poco F5 is visually pleasing to look at and Snapdragon 7+gen2 is really powerful too. The F5 "Pro" seems unnecessary 🙃

QHD dis´plays are extremely underrated, if you watch shows or movies at 1440p or 4K, there is a huge difference in sharpness, specially nowadays when phones are the biggest yet, i kept my LG G7 because of the 1440p screen, movies and videos look way better than on my Poco F3, people are usedto spend 1000$ on a phone that doesn't have a 1440p display, and that's disgraceful, they got used to the resolution so much that they prefer a 144hz panel at 1080p than a 120hz panel at 1440p, manufacturers are milking our money and we keep paying top money for 2nd or 3rd best features.
Sony's 4K isn't really 4K until it's 4K so that thing doesn't count.

So the f5 board will hold up ? It depends on how you use the phone even the asus rog phones which is more expensive and a gaming phone dont hold up lol, also its an underclock version of the 8+gen1
