The way he portrayed the workers... disgruntled, exploited, underpaid, malnourished, sleep-deprived, crushed souls. Also the society's lust for mindless entertainment with all its absurdities was depicted brilliantly... One could see the social decay, corruption, lack of values, and mass psychosis along the entire place.

My favorite will always be that time he put a shredder into one of his paintings as it was auctioned off without his permission, sold for hundreds of thousands and then shredded. Well, it was almost all the way shredded.

Will this cynicism never end?
Life's he[[; life's hard, not to mention unfair. We get it, and have been getting it for the past 75 years.
Yet, everytime an artist gets disillusioned by the current state of affairs, he or she will make a massive comment about it through their art.
They always seem to think that they're the first to make this horrifying discovery! What's worse, the critics always seem to go along with it as they plug the latest cynical artist as the greatest seer who ever lived.
They're either all very young or have never picked up a history book not even an art history book!
Let me be the first to say that there is nothing new here. Move along, and puleeze GROW UP!
