Be Well Talk History of Cancer & Progress in Cancer Research

This talk blends the history of cancer knowledge, the modern scientific understanding of cancer and some ongoing innovations in cancer research.

Kinjal Desai, PhD, (she/her) is a member of the Toronto Research Information Outreach Team and a senior postdoctoral research fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children, working on developing a novel treatment for medulloblastoma. She is also an instructor at the University of Toronto.
Arushi Jaiswal (she/her) is a member of the Toronto Research Information Outreach Team and is pursuing her PhD in cancer research at the University of Toronto. Her research is focused on triple negative breast cancer and designing safe and selective targeted therapies.
