The picture at 15:48 is a Detroit Streetcar on Woodward Avenue. The large tower just before the church steeple is a moonlight tower. A moonlight tower was an early form of street lighting. They were 121 of them in Detroit between 1890 and 1910 making Detroit one of the best lit night time cities in the U.S.

After Detroit no longer used them, 31 towers were purchased by Austin, Texas and 17 are still in use today.
