Hi Dylan! The marine forecast looks perfect for today's 39-hour trip. Seas will be perfect offshore. Hopefully not much current. With today's open and closed seasons, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to fish for Red Snapper in December (i.e. Winter). If you have many regular experienced fishermen/anglerettes on board, they could take time tomorrow and run out to really deep waters due west looking for pods of Red Snapper. The deeper you go, the bigger the fish will be. If that doesn't pan out, they can always run back in to closer-in areas. Historically, Fall and Winter was always the best time of the year for Red Snapper (and Scamp) in the commercial areas of the eastern Gulf. Would love to be down there and be on one of those offshore trips if only my health would permit it! Good fishin' ! -- John L.
