I thought this would be some cool material to cover. Here are some essential blues rhythm guitar voicings. Key of G with classic 1-4-5 progression.

It’s been a hell of a week in Boston, NYC and Chicago. What a blast!

Thanks for those of you that came out and supported all the shows.

Have fun and carry on!

Love your content. 11:46 it's a G13 (implies there's a 9th but it's missing here) alternatively G6/7th in bass.
The walk down at 19:14 is great. It can be interpreted a few different ways. G(3rd in bass) or Em7 (5th in bass) => D#7(5th in bass) or Bbdim or A7b9 (b9 in bass) => D7(5th in bass) => G7. Which would give you a 1 2 (tritone sub) 5 1 or 6m 2(tritone sub) 5 1 or a chromatic descend 6m 6b 5 1. I think the 2nd one (6m 2(tritone sub) 5 1) is probably the origin of that walk down.

When I’m playing blues in G, I harken to Miles’ “All blues” and or ABB version of “Stormy Monday” with that fantastic walk-up. Thanks GT ! Cheers from Thailand ! 😎🇺🇸🇹🇭🇺🇸⚓️🎸✅☕️🤠😎

Also, I adapted the walk down, same chord shapes to Am and it's sick. Great tones!

Been learning more from your channel than any other one. I pretty much understood most of what you’re doing in the video. Plus, I love the improvisation and groovy but relaxed tones. 🎸👌

Hey Guthrie, just love it when you say 'Watch This', it's always a revelation.

Ok Guthrie, you got me. I've looked at your videos occasionally over the years and they've always appeared to be so over my head I didn't go deep. I decided to give this one a go and it really is pure gold. I'm now a subscriber and a believer and I won't give up on myself so easily. Only way to get better is to try something that looks too hard. Thanks so much for your effort.

Thanks for redefining the 9th chords and similar shapes. They really can be played anywhere on the neck as you've shown. Beautiful G walkdown turn around too! Using less than the six strings was an important lesson today for me as well. Thanks bro!
