The Europeans did the same thing in Africa..for example in Rwanda the Belgian colonizers used to measure the nose size and shape and also skin color and body shape etc etc and created hate filled divisions among the Hutu and tutsi tribes and that lead to the Rwandan genocide of the tutsi ppl by the hutus which was so horrific to say the least!

In my childhood days I believed in this theory. In my school days some people used to call me Dravidian. When I understood that what I believed is bunkum nonsense I was shell shocked.

Initially, they placed the Aryan homeland in London LOL. How could Indians still believe this BS theory?

I was taught AIT at university in Indian History course in 1970’s - after some discussions it emerged that the Lecturer was not convinced of convinced of this theory and was at great pains to let us know that a theory is just that - theoretical! And that there were other models which might fit the linguistic and archaeological evidence. My Sanskrit teacher in 1975 was a notable comparative philologist, he was not convinced of the AIT. So western scholars had doubts back 50 years ago.
