Harry and Meghan's claim of racism is 'nothing of the sort': Rita Panahi

The Sussexes’ claim of racism in the Royal Family during their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview is actually “nothing of the sort”, says Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle alleged during the interview that two royals raised concerns about the potential colour of Prince Archie’s skin before he was born.

“They’ve tried to pretend ‘oh no, no, no, we were just raising issues of unconscious bias’,” Ms Panahi said.

“Can we talk about this entire catastrophe because what they allege, whether you call it unconscious bias, racism, whatever, is nothing of the sort.

“Anyone who’s got a mixed-race family would tell you people wonder, who would the kid look like?

“Is it going to look like someone who’s olive-skinned or dark-skinned or is it going to look like the freckly ginger?”
