It was my understanding that you don't get cured from schizophrenia? So her claiming she's not mentally ill anymore is odd. The only thing you can do is take medication for the symptoms and it's partly the responsibility of the individual to do so once they reach a certain level. And regardless of mental health or her childhood treatment she still is the one who killed her mother and the injuries to herself in the process are not sympathy worthy to me

She wont be approved to be released because she keeps making herself out to be a victim . parole boards want you to admit you did a horrible crime and they dont want to hear any excuses . they want to hear you take blame and full responsibility for your crime and show remorse. When a person has a hard time living with themselves after the crimes they have committed and show deep remorse that makes the parole board feel that you wont re offend . if the inmate is trying to justify in any way what they did then usually parole boards will not approve release

This case reminds me of that case where a girl decided to commit suicide with her boyfriend and then killed her bf and pretended to be insane and is out now with lawyer's degree.
