"Captain America is the world's greatest fighter - and Batman is the world's greatest detective. Captain America wins in a fight - and Batman wins in a forensics contest."

They have fought 3 times in my knowledge, first time Batman barely won, second time was a draw, third time Batman said he would lose after a tough fight. So IMHO they are more or less equal.

IF Batman is even considered to win this fight it is simply due to "fanboyism". He is NOT the worlds greatest detective nor is it even possible to be a master of EVERY fighting style. I just stopped even caring about Batman after the storyline where he survived Darkseid's omega beams.

Cap wins! Even with Steve's already mastery of martial arts and acrobatics - his mind also is using the maximum brain power and sense memory - and can pick up on any opponents fighting style in seconds and can mimic it back. Much like Taskmaster can.

You combine that with Cap's superior strength, speed, endurance, healing/durability, shield - and Batman can't do shit to him that's not billionaire tech based.

There's nothing Batman can throw at Cap that he hasn't seen from Black Panther, Red Skull, Baron Zemo, Tony Stark, and Dr. Doom. And the fact Batman has that silly AF no kill rule - he wouldn't be able do what it takes to really do what it takes to stave off an ultimate human fighting machine like Steve Rogers.

I do recall Batman admitted in the canon Batman and Captain America crossover that Batman admitted outright he can’t defeat Captain America as in if this is entirely a fight without preparation which isn’t surprising because Captain America is a superhuman with superhuman strength, stamina, agility, reflexes, has a unique fighting style, can think faster than Batman, and Captain America could fight mostly all day while Batman would begin to feel fatigue, also Captain America having greater striker power so these are all reasons why Captain America would be able to defeat an impressive foe that could hold his own, however can’t outperform a Super Soldier in a fist fight add in Captain America using the extraordinary shield which is adding overkill since Captain America has multiple advantages.

Two favorite characters, but the fact is on a straight one-on-one fight, no plot armor or fanboy contrivances of convenience, Cap wins each and every time. His strength, reflexes, agility, endurance and healing factor are all past peak human.

Batman is known to be the master of many martial arts (though that number is absurd), but Cap is a marital arts expert and combat hand-to hand as well. Cap has defeated masters of martial arts such as Shang Shi, Iron Fist and others.

Cap is know for neutralizing any apparent advantage an opponent has, in addition to his beyond peak Human abilities - so much for the utility belt and gadgets. Batman is very tough and very formidable, but he is not lasting all that long on a fair one-on-one fight against Cap.

Captain America is a Master Strategist and brilliant Tactican. He can memorize any figthing style and quickly adapt to counter it. He is adept to nearly all forms of fighting. Cap has remarkable skill on par with the likes of Black Panther, Daredevil, Iron fist, and of course Shang Chi, arguably the best martial artist alive. He has a genius intellect when it came combat. He was made to battle. Cap is a beast.

The Super-Soldier serum boosted Steve Rogers to the peak of human perfection. You have to realize what that means. Not just strength, speed and durability/balance. His mind is also highly enhanced. He focuses on combat so he excels at it but if he put his mind to anything else he would be just as great. Cap is much stronger than people think he is. Working out in the Avengers gym he was benching reps of 2 tons. Even without his shield Cap can be just as dangerous.
