CCNP Route (300 - 101) version 2.0: Route-filtering using Route-maps

preview_player
Показать описание
Route maps are used when redistributing routes into an OSPF, RIP, or EIGRP routing process. They are
also used when generating a default route into an OSPF routing process. A route map defines which of
the routes from the specified routing protocol are allowed to be redistributed into the target routing
process

What I meant by not allowed is mainly because you are not filtering out the Link state advertisement (LSA) but rather filtering out the installation of the route into the RIB which will not stop the next hop from learning the routes which defeats the whole concept of route filtering.

can we configure the distribute-list on R3 as outbound and filter the routes?

Hi Sikandar,

Very nice of you but you are not allowed to use the route-map filtering within the same area, just friendly reminder.
I am certain it was a mistake.
