Superfruit was just Scott and Mitch from PTX. The other three singers are friends they tapped to sing this song with them, in response to the mass murders at the Orlando gay nightclub. When you listen to this again (and we know you will) knowing what they’re singing about will make a huge difference in your reaction.

Coming up on Pride Month, and June 16th is another anniversary of the Pulse massacre. I live an hour north of Orlando, and that was such a horrible, shocking incident. I pray the day will come when members of the LGBTQ and trans community can live their lives in peace. Thanks for playing this one. It always gives me chills.

This song was in response to the pulse nightclub shooting. Also Superfruit isn’t a cappella. They have so many amazing videos like this, but also they have an album with official videos that are top notch! Superfruit is my favorite!!!

Superfruit is where a young Mitch and Scott from the group Pentatonix could do things they couldn’t do with the group. They believed the dynamics of fans was different between the two groups. There is some overflow but where PTX is multi generational, Superfruit was mainly people in their 20’s and 30’s following them. The music they created as a duo is fantastic. All of PTX music is as well. I did not like the original version of this song but absolutely Love this one.

Scott and Mario have an amazing cover of LP’s lost on you. It’s like 4 straight minutes of goosebumps. He worked for PTX on tour that’s how they became friends

Superfruit ( Scott and Mitch's side project) ran weekly for several years until the two of them managed to move to their own places ( they roomed together for years while starting up PTX). It's full of chats, challenges, fun stuff with friends and guests and hilarity...and some really outstanding music. It's not acapella and NSFW! It's definitely worth an explore. Frozen Medley, Guy E.X.E, Defying Gravity ( although I do recommend checking out the original first), Hip Hop Goes Broadway, Future Friends, Happy Little Pill, Lost On You, so much more...

If I am not mistaken, I believe Mario is (was) a member of the PTX tour staff. The story I heard is that they heard him singing during set up at a show and then later invited him onstage to sing with them. (All of which will require fact-checking as I don't have perfect recall/eidetic memory.)

I always enjoy this version. It was a tribute after the Pulse shootings. But it is empowering to all. Gay pride month begins tomorrow; however, my pride is daily. I have marched, protested, and lived in the community through good and bad for 40+ years. Stay proud no matter who you love. My parents were straight, and that's okay.

Superfruit (Scott and Mitch) do some really edgy stuff (compared to PTX), and they use instruments. Their double album (as Superfruit) is fantastic although a little weird. They also did weekly blogs with a comedy bent, and swear words. One of my favorites is a guest appearance the made on Magical Mythical Morning (can't remember the two guys names), but they did a Duo or Don'to challenge that was hillarous.

You should react to more SuperFruit videos. It’s normally just Mitch and Scott although sometimes they have guests. Sometimes it’s their music videos but mostly it’s just them in their apartment being hysterical.
