Hidden amongst the township of Inanda in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, there lies a Museum and Community Centre called KwaShandu.

This a place where artists and creatives from all walks of life can find shelter and because of the Natural surroundings its in, makes an ideal location for camping, exchange programes and artists residency.
What clined AfriG Studio to visit and document the experience at Kwa Shandu was the time-capsuling essence of this establishment as it is rich in Literature, Fine Arts and contents that relate to South Africa's history, heritage and culture.

The mission for this project is to reinstate the principle of oneness amongst South African creatives who are currently more in competition than in collaboration with one another and to encourage more indigenous representation of our heritage through our creative projects.

@AfriG Studio is a Digital Home for all African Creatives. LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE EXCLUSIVE CONTENT.

A famous quote by Marcus Garvey goes, "A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots." Beautiful work!!
