Its a anti tank grenade propeller
Thus not shooting normal tank shells
So the velocity of the roune makes sense if you know

I definitely think 750~800 meters per second would be more appropriate for this tank.

Still so bizarre to me that they struggle with balancing so much. They think this tank would be too good with 800 shell velocity but then they buff the Leo, a tank that absolutely did not need it. They buff the type 5's 140mm and nerf its 150mm which is perfectly reasonable and they nerf the gun handling of the cs-63 which is a tank you dont even see that often and never hear people complaining about being OP. Every time theres a set of buffs/nerfs theres only like 3 that make sense while the others all make us question what the hell theyre smoking

And I agree that the shell velocity is absolutely absurd!

The Japanese tier 10 Type 5 Heavy is well-known for being the size of a small house, for being slow as molasses... and for having one of WW2 mode's derpiest derp gun, a 150mm beast, infamous for ripping to shreds pretty much anything in the game it comes up against...

... and even its shells get better velocity (850m/s HE; 750m/s HEAT) than this new vehicle, a supposed "tank destroyer!"

Oh well, it's not as if this is the first time that good ol' WG got something totally wrong... and I doubt that this will be the last time, either! 🤦

Already said before by others, but it uses a Recoilless Rifle, same as the M113 and M50 Ontos in CW. Even there, a mode where long range is even more of a priority, they have that 503m a second shell velocity. Surprisingly though, those two vehicles are a blast to play as they have advantages that can mitigate the flaws of the shell velocity, such as the M113's sheer flexibility (allowing it to play as both a nimble light and a hull down monster) and the M50's ridiculous concealment (It gets about 50m concealment fully equiped and can rip 6 bullets into you in under 10 seconds. It's fun).

This thing seems to be an inbetween of those two (mobile box, autoloader), but doesn't have enough to make it crazy like the other two which seems to bite it in the back here. Hoping this thing will be fun regardless dor me, though.

Ah gotta love teams these days. The 268v5 didn't support you at all when you pushed in the first game. And then blocked you while you tried to retreat. With teammates like that who needs red tanks..

Meh. Maybe they should just increase clip potential instead. Shell velocity alone won't help and it's low for a reason because it's a recoiless rifle firing heat.

It’s because it’s a 106mm recoilless rifle similar to the Era 2 M113 with its awful shell velocity.
