9 years in Krakow, and I always say - when people ask if it's cheap? I say it's appropriately priced - compared to other countries there is a lot of value for money. I don't scold people for asking if it's cheap or how cheap it is but I don't use that word myself because that does not explain in properly. We are not "budget", or "cheap", we're value for money.

Milk bars over fancy restaurants - change my mind. You guys have to check out Bar Krakowski on Kalwaryjska street on your next visit. Best quality vs price ratio I've seen in terms of pierogi and other traditional polish cuisine in my life. I used to live a 100 metres from there and I couldn't get enough. It all tasted like I remember my mother making it when I was a kid. Prolly gonna go there tomorrow, now that I've mentioned it lol.

Thanks for this video! I'm teaching english in poland for three weeks and the amount of money the company is giving me for that time is around £250 for the three weeks (accom and food is included, this is for transport/spending money) and I've been uncertain about if I should bring more of my own money or not. Seems I'll be okay!

Next to Krakow is located Wieliczka Salt Mine which is underground tourist route with amazing salt statues and underground chapel made in salt. Another salt mine is Bochnia Salt Mine (next to Krakow too), in Bochnia is an option to say at night in salt chamber (very healthly), play a match on uderground salt playing field or sail on underground salt lake. And in both of mines is an option to be a salt miner! You get a lamp, helmet and the rest of equimpment, go down with a guide and do quests like salt miner did. It is so funny :)

My advice for any US tourist in Europe would be to visit sights important to that country city a good option is to take a good guided tour and learn about the city you are in. The second advice would be to go off the beaten path, speak with locals ask about good places to eat or dishes to try.
The point of traveling is to experience the local culture. Tourists contribute to the local economy but they also can intrude in the lives of locals. A good tourist mindful of this will have a much much better experiences and have way more fun exploring the city and traveling.
