30 years of Hubble – Claude Nicollier at IGLUNA 2020

Claude Nicollier is a Swiss Astronaut (Missions STS-46, STS-61, STS-75, STS-103) and Professor at EPFL in Space Technology. In the framework of the IGLUNA 2020 Virtual Field Campaign, he shared his experience during his servicing missions to the Hubble Space Telescope. He also highlighted the key roles and reasons of Hubble’s success, and presented the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).
Hubble celebrates this year 30 years of studying and exploring our universe and leading to decisive astronomical and scientific discoveries. Hubble was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990 on the initiative of NASA in collaboration with the European Space Agency, ESA.
