This very problem, about using business models in government, caused me to pull large tufts of my hair out 30 years ago when I was the chief military psychologist at the Base HQ on the prairies of Canada. Some bright bulb who had just graduated with an MBA, maybe even from Harvard, wrote a brief that convinced both Treasury Board, from whom the Canadian National Defence HQ got its fiscal and HR marching orders, to adopt the Harvard Business Model for all planning and budgeting purposes. It was TERRIBLE because, as the guest at 12:00 points out, government is not a flippin' business!!

Noah and Hew debated the thorniest of international issues: the resolving of the clash of Israel: with it base of Western Culture in the. middle of a host of countries with their Islamic Culture. Trumps suspicious goal of creating another Riviera in Gaza, in my mind does nothing to change the hearts, mind, or cultural drive of the differences between Hamas leaders and the leaders of Israel. And where will the Gazan's go? None of the Arab Islamic countries around them want a poor dissatisfied ticked off people. For them the Gazan's are already perfectly situated to be an irritant and thorn to Israel and the powers of the West. How does Trump's plans deal with Iranian support and or other Islamic leaders who basically are at spiritual and military war with Israel and the West? Trump wants more fair trade with China, Canada, and Mexico and or for them to respect our sovereign borders and not send murderers and drugs into our country. How does Trumps idea stop suicide bombers or October attacks from happening from a people will earn a Jihadist ticket to heaven? There is a cultural clash that fuels the Israel Hamas conflict that can not be covered up by a great hotel on the beach.
