#Pirin Μια χειμερινή διάσχιση στο νότιο PIRIN. Ένα ΧΕΙΜΕΡΙΝΟ ταξίδι στα βουνά που γνωρίζουμε πολύ καλά και "ξορκίζουν τους δαίμονές μας" (My demons you tame).
Είμαστε στο νοτιοδυτικό Pirin, στο τμήμα αυτό της οροσειράς που κυριαρχούν οι γρανίτες σε αντίθεση με το ασβεστολιθικό κέντρο - βόρειο τμήμα.
Από εδώ το ορεινό ανάγλυφο είναι άκρως εντυπωσιακό με επιβλητικές κορυφές άνω των 2.700 - 2.800 μ.
Αφετηρία μας η κοιλάδα του ποταμού Begovitsa και η Popina Laka.
Ορμητήριο μας το "Begovitsa Hut" σε υψόμετρο 1.800 μ.
Στην παρέα μας προστέθηκε ο Vladimir, ένας Βούλγαρος ορειβάτης που γνωρίσαμε τυχαία στο καταφύγιο και πλέον είναι ένας ακόμη πολύ καλός μας φίλος στα βουνά.
Όλα τα δελτία καιρού ήταν ενθαρρυντικά για εξόρμηση στο άγριο Pirin αλλά ο χειμώνας στα παγωμένα βουνά της Βουλγαρίας και ιδίως σε τέτοια υψόμετρα αλλάζει πρόσωπα από το πουθενά.
Αυτό συνέβη και σε μας. Ζήσαμε την εντυπωσιακή και ταυτόχρονα τρομακτική εμπειρία του απόλυτου λευκού. Δεν ξεχώριζε στα μάτια μας τίποτα.
Κατά προσέγγιση και με την βοήθεια του Gps όπου αυτό ήταν εφικτό βρεθήκαμε να ανεβαίνουμε την πολύ απότομη κλίση ανάμεσα από τις κορυφές "Kamenitsa" και "Jalovarnika". Και οι δύο κορυφές πλέον ήταν πολύ κοντά μας αλλά από κει ξεκινούν απότομα χάσματα και με μηδενική ορατότητα, η συνέχεια ήταν ΑΚΡΩΣ ΕΠΙΚΙΝΔΥΝΗ.
Εγκαταλείψαμε "κολλημένοι" πάνω στην απότομη κλίση σε υψόμετρο 2.670 μ.
Βιώσαμε απίστευτες στιγμές ομορφιάς και περιπέτειας. Πάντα τα Pirin σε κάνουν να αισθάνεσαι έτσι. Δεν μας αρέσουν τα στατιστικά αλλά ενδεικτικά αναφέρουμε ότι η συνολική διαδρομή ήταν περίπου 20 χιλιομέτρων.
Ευχαριστούμε τον φίλο μας Vladimir για την παρέα του και ανανεώνουμε το ραντεβού μας μαζί του για να βρεθούμε ξανά στα βουνά που αγαπάμε βιώνοντας πολύ δυνατές εμπειρίες.
Ξεκινάμε μια νέα χρονιά, μια χρονιά με καινούργια όρια πέρα από τα συμβατικά.
Ακολουθήστε μας και ζήστε μαζί μας αυτό που ΑΚΡΙΒΩΣ ζούμε κι εμείς εκεί που σας πάμε!!!

A winter crossing in southern PIRIN. A WINTER journey in the mountains that we know very well and that "exorcise our demons" (My demons you tame).
We are in the southwestern Pirin, in this part of the mountain range dominated by granites in contrast to the limestone center - northern part.
From here the mountain relief is extremely impressive with imposing peaks over 2,700 - 2,800 m.
Our starting point is the Begovitsa river valley and Popina Laka.
Our base camp is the "Begovitsa Hut" at an altitude of 1,800 m.
Vladimir, a Bulgarian climber whom we met by chance at the refuge and who is now another very good friend of ours in the mountains, joined our group.
All the weather reports were encouraging for an expedition to the wild Pirin, but winter in the frozen mountains of Bulgaria, especially at such altitudes, changes faces.
This happened to us too. We experienced the impressive and at the same time terrifying experience of absolute white. Nothing stood out to our eyes.
Roughly and with the help of GPS where possible, we found ourselves climbing the very steep slope between the peaks of "Kamenitsa" and "Jalovarnika". Both peaks were now very close to us, but from there steep cliffs begin and with zero visibility, the rest was EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
We abandoned "stuck" on the steep slope at an altitude of 2,670 m.
We experienced incredible moments of beauty and adventure. The Pirin always makes you feel that way. We don't like statistics, but as an indication, we would like to mention that the total route was approximately 20 kilometers.
We thank our friend Vladimir for his company and we renew our appointment with him to meet again in the mountains we love, experiencing very powerful experiences.
We are starting a new year, a year with new limits beyond the conventional.
