It's not just the medical field. When you live in Hawaii, you're limiting yourself to the possibilities of a future. It's just the facts. That's the reason so many leave for a better future. I left in 1972.

The public does not sympathize with nurses refusing to work for btw 133k-160k for just three days.

Fire them all. Nothing but greed. The nurses are greedy. Has nothing to do with patient ratio. Has everything to do with money.

Correction. Who's child may still be alive today had there been no "lockout". The strike was only one day. After that, the nurses were locked out. That's on Adimin.

*If these nurses cared about these kids, they wouldn’t have blocked the driveway so travel nurses could get in and provide care to CHILDREN!!!*

Stop pushing this story; if the family wants to go to get care elsewhere, they can but stop acting like local nurses are gods and better than all else.

This is a Tragedy that should of never happened. My heart goes out to the family. Patient and precious babies lives should come first. Thee COO is responsible for the diminished quality of care the Travel nurses are providing. They are literally there for a pay check. I know because I've worked with travel strike nurses. They have no ties to the community. They are online planning their next hike or bar crawl and next assignment.

Hospital is going to be facing lawsuits

I wouldnt say “abandoning” but more like “selfish”. What is the patient to nurse ratio? Seems like a $130-160k for a three day work schedule isnt too bad.

Blame the nurses on strike. They knew the consequences and still decided to stike.
It’s not the hospitals fault the nurses got greedy their union agreed to their contract.
Greed and forgetting one of the reasons they become nurses was because they “wanted to make a difference and care for those who are sick.
Now look they want more money and benefits.

Bamahi where you at? Like I said how much more lives will be lost? Kapiolani is tarnishing it's reputation very quickly.
