Ok, well "paying people not to work" started when the affected families of the 600, 000+ covid deaths could very well have lost their income providers ... Single therefore often low income parents are now faced with working and possibly catching covid endangering their children while also struggling to find babysitters, daycare posing covid exposure risk, making it significantly more difficult to search for a job in a realistic way. A lot of Americans lost their health insurance due to the fact insurance is a privilege tied to employment - yet another factor preventing a rush in the job hunting area of the American people having already experienced massive trauma due to the covid pandemic of the past year, loss of loved ones, loss of one's own health and the health of their children, facing homelessness and complete inability to work of having to leave their children alone on the streets.
Congress as well as the fed should focus on helping the American families keep head above water until covid is over! Money concerns are valid but lives are more important. Edited to add: I wonder how much money was spent in the cremation and burial of 600, 000 families??
