Lusardi Creek Preserve: This 195-acre property, located along the northern boundary of the City of San Diego, southeast of Rancho Santa Fe and west of 4S Ranch, is part of the County's vision to protect and restore natural habitats while educating visitors about the many protected species on-site, such as the San Diego marsh elder, Del Mar manzanita, California adolphia, and graceful tarplant, all integral to the Multiple Species Conservation Program. Special concern species like the Coronado Skink, Orange-throated Whiptail, San Diego Horned Lizard, and Red Diamond Rattlesnake also thrive here. A roughly 3-mile trail system offers access to stunning natural beauty, with connections to up to 10 miles of more secluded paths for endless exploration.
