Best Blender beginner tutorials I've seen thus far. This is the first time I've actually made it to the second video after years of trying and watching other beginner's guides. Thanks so much for making these

What makes Grant's videos so great is the tone, the pace, the linear progressions, and the delivery. He has a perfectly modulated voice, no vocal pauses, and a reassuring method that says "you can do it; be patient; try it for yourself; and just have some fun". So many other videos wander all over the place and are accompanied by a commentary that is often disjointed and not always the clearest pronunciations. To find fault with any of his videos, you would really be trying too hard and you might want to re-think your criticisms. Blender is a complex piece of software and being free it is truly a gift for your time and energy. If you think you can learn this overnight, you should quit now. But, if you persevere, chew off a bit at a time, and digest it slowly, you might just get somewhere. I am seventy-seven years old; I have been in the IT industry all my life and now retired, so Blender is for me, just a hobby. But, it sure keeps one's brains ticking over and I am thankful that people like Grant Abbitt, have taken the time to share their knowledge. A book just doesn't cut it!

I am switching from Cinema 4D to Blender 2.8. I was a little afraid because I heard Blender was more difficult, but boy these tutorials makes it incredibly easier. Perfectly explained, well paced. Just the perfect tutorial.

I really like this tutorial! There's no handholding, which means I can model on my own and feel like I accomplished something, for example, instead of just doing the character's arms, you teach us the basics of how to use the software, then you teach how to scale and duplicate parts, and only then you tell us to model the arms. Really cool tutorial!

Great video! I liked that you had the rotating character down in the corner during the video. It made it easier to follow along :)

I know I'm only on part 2, but thank you for this series. I've been trying to do something constructive all quarantine (and failing due to mental health). Blender was one of my top projects and you're making it incredibly accessible. I'm only on the very basic stuff, but even still you're clear and concise. Much respect.

I love how you deconstructed the entire scene before getting into anything.
Thanks a lot for this series, Grant :)

I'm having so much fun, I wish I could share it here. So you guys could see the progress, even if everyone will be doing the same character, is still fun to share. Thank you so much for the tutorial, will continue watching ♥

This is by far one of the best videos on Blender I've seen. In all of the other tutoritials they speak super fast and basically skip everything or they just make it so it's not even understandable. This was not the case. This videa was the best I've seen so far. It's really clear, explains you the basics you'll need and it's the perfect paste.

This made transitioning from 2.7 so much easier. I was terrified of the new layout, but this showed me that most of the shortcuts and such are the same. 2.8 just makes things easier. Subscribed!
