Loving the new blue mixer. Your old Kenwood you had was exactly the same as the one my mum had when l was growing up, it was nostalgic to see you using it, brought back alot of memories. Thanks for another great video. 😊

Thank you very much for reminding me how we use to be resourceful growing up. And I wasn't surprised to see an article on stuff news of how your promoting how to feed your whanau for less than $5k a year. You are amazing, inspirational and your kai recipes is sufficient for my home of 6 boys ❤

I stored my flour in the paper lunch bags and vacuum sealed them like you, than stored them in food safe buckets with bay leaves 🍃
I did that early 2020 and just opened one a few weeks ago and it was perfect and the bread turned out great.

Okay, I don’t have a thermomix and this is what I have a use:
Stand Mixer (mines a Breville), stick mixer, stove top pressure cooker, blender (purely for milkshakes). I got rid of my food processor because I just didn’t use it. Everything else I do by hand with a knife, grater or in the stove etc so you don’t NEED the fancy gadgets, they just help :)

Due to your knee, I will leave you short of cash. Perhaps pak n save would pay you for all your knowledge that would help so many on their family recipe ideas. Love the way you use your food budget. I have done same all my married life 54 years's.linda❤

A new addition to our kitchen has been a cheap plug in induction cooker.(wearhouse) I'm a impatient person at times and love it is pretty much instant heat, so no waiting for pan to heat. Down side my copper bottom preserving pan dosnt work on it so i have to use a smaller pot when im canning. My pressure/multi cooker (wearhouse) is also used alot.

If you have a good dehydrator you can make the bestest stock powder .... i canned mushrooms, peeled all the skin off and the sliver off the stalk canned the mushrooms then made a garlicy mushroom stock reduced it right down then blitzed it and dehydrated then blitzed again and had the worlds yummiest mushroom stock and canned mushrooms as well.

That air fryer you have from KMart is exactly what I bought a couple of months ago as my gas oven went crappo on me half way through cooking a roast beef and veggies!! That air fryer is the best for me as it does so much including my semi-dried tomatoes.
PS: Ya doing great mate!! :)

Thank you so much for your helpful videos, Stacey—I love to cook and am learning heaps from you about how to do so on a budget! You have such a great, calming presence on camera and so much knowledge and resourcefulness. It's really inspiring. I've been binge-watching your videos whenever I have free time. P.S. - I love Moore Wilson's SO much, too, and miss it a lot since moving from Wellington to the South Island! It's the best store in the land. 🥰

We only just used up our "covid" chickpea stores-when I suggested another 25kg bag there was a resounding "NO" amongst the troops 😆

Another amazing video with great tips…not just for the young ones but for us oldies too. We don’t all cook the same, and although I don’t cook as much these days, I love seeing different cultures and how others cook…really enjoying your videos. God bless, Carmen 💜

The way we Grow All our own Carrots is Weedless and Easy. - Cut a 44gal drum in half length ways you have a 2 meter x 600mm wide bed - it's just your drains and your medium. - I cut strips of Solid Light Blocking plastic 100mm wide and 600mm long and lay them across the entire bed leaving 20mm gap to sow the carrot seeds between and water/feed when needed. The carrots come up in rows don't need thinning and it's a weedless crop. I harvest just what I want for the meal.
That's Carrots taken care of and you can class them "In the bleeding Pantry"
