Sean, thank you again. I watched your earlier video about Minut, picked it up around 6 months ago and the Airbnb feels transparent now. Amazing product, works like a charm and allowed me to stop multiple loud noise issues with guest. I simply tell them that the neighbors called about loud noise and would appreciate them keeping it down, and wallah decibels drop instantly, almost 100% of the time !! Hey bro. My fear with filing claims is retaliation. Cant they turn around and leave you a one-star to get back at you or worse yet, return and do damage to the property? What's been your experience with that?

Hi Sean, I bought a point device based on your recommendations and I'm disappointed.

The device came and I installed it per instructions and 24 hrs later it's not showing on the app. Customer service is slow to respond and finally recommended that I download a beta update software on my computer to update and fix the Minut device.

I just wanted you to know that as of this writing my Minut does not work and I'm updating the firmware in the hopes that it will. But this is a problem and I'm SO glad I didn't buy more than one device and have to do this to all of them. I can only imagine having already put all of my devices in different units and having to go around and collect all of them and update the firmware on every one. 🤦‍♂️

question. Housekeeper can set it up. Owner lives 7000 miles away and also wants to be alerted. Owner can not travel to property to be involved in the setup.

Hey can you show the cigarette detector does it set the alarm inside the unit if it detects cigarettes

Hey Sean got one last year and love it! It can also alert you when other alarms go off (CO2/fire sectors) so it is great for guest safety. Which is how we explain it. Had a guest burning trash in our wood stove, got a heat alert and was able to check to make sure the guest was safe!! Love the product, love the videos!

Hey Sean thank you for all the tips. Question tho how do you go about talking to guests when you think they are having a party because noise monitor is going off? What would be the best way to approach them about that without them feeling attacked/control etc.

Hey Sean, JohnCat here. It looks like Minut is now charging a monthly / annual fee now to monitor our homes??? I thought that this was a stand alone device, and we just purchased it without a subscription.. Is this just another way for them to jump on the band wagon and get monthly revenue? How long does it store the noise history for? sometimes I get bogus noise complaints from HOA people weeks after guests have left and being able to show them the noise levels on the day they claim my guests were loud would be key

I've been using these for almost a year, they are definitely something everyone should be using. I'd be surprised if charging the guest for the security guy to stop by is going to go through, but that would be very interesting to find out.

Wondering if you or others could possibly conceive a way in which this device could be used in heightening guest experience, if communicated well, or a way that short/mid stay guests could feel they were involved in the security aspect of the alarm and alerts. @airbnbautomated Sean, can you help us understand how to accomplish some of these things when out of state? For example, can I set it up somehow and then have my housekeeper install it in the home and have it already be up and working in some way? I am trying to figure out if there is a way for this device (and cameras) to be installed by my own team I trust without me having to travel to the properties right now. If all of my wifi's were named exactly the same (even my home), would that make it possible to do "plug and play" for them? Any insights on this stuff would be a huge help. Thanks for everything as always.
