CCA here almost 7 months in. Everything Nick said is true. You are gonna have good days and bad ones. When you don’t know a route it’s gonna suck but the more you do them. The better you will get at them.

Physically. Things are gonna hurt. Whether it’s your feet. Your back. Arms. Etc.

Don’t quit and don’t give up.

Yes it gets better. The more you do. The better you will get at it. By the time you know it. Weeks and months have gone by.

Guys and gals, listen to Nick. I’m converting to regular tomorrow!!! All the hard work WILL pay off. Chin up, nose to the grindstone!!!!

I'm a carrier in Denver (we have 26 stations) and we are so short of carriers that CCAs are getting converted to PTF straight out of training. Which is good for them, except that some of these carriers can't do the job. Some of them can only get parcels done in eight hours and they bring back all the DPS and flats. It's tough to fire a regular carrier even if he's still in his first 90 days. The union will argue that the carrier hasn't received the proper training, which in fairness is often true.

Today was my last day of oji training. My trainer shadowed me and I did her whole route today . 9am -6:25pm she usually finishes by 4:30 and she told me not bad for doing it on my first try. Tomorrow is my first day being completely alone let’s see how it goes 😅

I did my fingerprints a couple weeks ago. Was told that I'd be informed when they finish my background check. Hopefully I hear back soon.

My office just had our two new CCAS leave last month, leaving me and one other guy and it’s looking like we aren’t getting another one any time soon. Peaks gonna be fun but at least the paychecks will be nice haha

Every day is a new day. Love that. Been looking at careers and being a mailman is a top one for me

Yesterday was a bad day for me also. It was the first day by myself on a new route I never done. I got half the route done and I must of missed five or six packages in about 12 hours. They sent 2 carriers to take the rest of the route from me around 7 at night. It wasn't the worst day of my life but it did suck. Today was a lot better I just did my usual swing route.

People want an easy job that pays good. This is why the harder jobs pay good because you have to put in the work. In the long run, it’s worth it especially when you have kids to feed

I’m on day two of my oji training, just finished my first Amazon Sunday today. I love this job and I want to be good at it but I feel so stressed and overwhelmed. I can’t for the life of me remember all the clock rings and the forms and where to put the mail when I come back to the station. I can see people are getting annoying with me asking questions but I don’t know how to retain all this info and it’s making me feel really stupid and defeated.

Love it. Yep not looking forward to working in the dark but like you said, struggle at first but it gets easier, just keep your head up. Great cut bro enjoy your day off and I'm sure I'll hit you up with more questions after I start.
