About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Just discovered you guys so I am a bit behind in catching up. Honey cake is quite common in Eastern Europe especially in the former Soviet republics so I would suggest it is the russian community that has brought it to WA. Sugar was scarse (sorry for Jack's spelling) during communist times hence they used honey as sweetner (apparently Jack spelling again). Travel safe guys, I am planning my next adventure in East Africa atm, can't wait to get going.

I remember fishing off the Omeo wreck when I was a kid back in the late 60's early 70's, it was still above the water and had a pipe leading from the slaughter house that used to be on the shoreline there. The pipe pumped out blood, which made it a great fishing spot but also attracted sharks.

Wow guys! Love watching your channel! So good to see you guys back in Perth. I grew up in Mirrabooka, actually my mum and step dad still live there in the same house! Girrawheen, Balga, yes remember those places haha. And all those 'Cafes' and spots that have evolved since I lived there. I am now in Toowoomba QLD and need to get back there to see the family. So what school did you guys go to over there? I was at the Northside Christian College back in the day. And that West Coast Drive, how awesome is that!! Memories for sure!!! I rode my push bike from Mirrabook to North Beach when I was a kid. The old James St in Perth, yes how that has changed over time. I really miss the beaches over there. So glad that you guys are 'North of the River" people hahaha. The freeway only went to Joondalup when I lived there and wow hasn't that all changed and the old Marmion Avenue. I keep thinking that I need to book a flight to see my family over there, and now you've just given me the push I needed to do that!! 👍👍

We have honey cake in Dubai. It’s probably the only cake I actually enjoy but I think it’s different to that maybe, it’s teeny thin layers of cake. So good 😊

My word that brings back some memories. I am a Kiwi and lived in Perth about thirty years ago, I visited quite a few areas around the city and down in Freo at the markets quite often. When we drove down the coast road back then it was quite rural, now it seems to be built up. But it is still quite a stunning drive. Keep up the great content thank you I enjoy following your travels around Aus.

Great episode guys. Fantastic snap shot. I only lived in Perth for 4 months with work and found there was lots to do (other than visit Little Creatures & Cottesloe) 😉
