I am of European heritage, when our loved ones die in villages, we too pay homage to the dead for 3 days/9 days/ 40 days/ annually. In summer we also add flowers around their neck, to ward of the smell of decaying body. Also, they don’t have Color to their skin, they become a greyish/ashy white.

You all put so much time and effort into your project. This would have a stronger impact. Yes the shroud does cover the face.
