This reminds me of the Covid rising, injecting bleach and firing health experts just like during the Economic turmoil and firing Powell.

Trump's tariff taxes will be "higher inflation and slower growth." Fed Chair Jerome Powell

Seriously, folks. Trump would not care if his comments about firing Powell leads to further market instability. He does not comprehend that this is not legal. President Vance likely would be able to respect this line and not act so recklessly. We need to more seriously be discussing this option for at least the immediate future.

I can see where this perspective is coming from. On one hand, with inflation cooling and signs that the economy is stabilizing, it does make sense to consider rate cuts to support growth and avoid a potential recession. If the Fed waits too long, it could put unnecessary strain on businesses and consumers—especially with credit still tight for many.

That said, I also get why Powell and the Fed are being cautious. Cutting too soon might reignite inflation or undermine the progress that’s been made. It’s a tough balance—react too slowly, and we risk a slowdown; act too quickly, and we could undo the gains.

So while I agree with the urgency to reassess the current rate policy, I also think it has to be done carefully and with a clear read of all the data.

How about Trump wants someone with more common sense and wisdom than Powell. The last 4 years have been economically terrible.
