iOS 16 - Features That Won't Work On Older iPhones

iOS 16 released to Developers and soon to Public Beta Testers and has many features, changes and updates. iOS 16 has a lot of great features, but not all iOS 16 supported devices support all iOS 16 features. In this video I go over all the new iOS 16 features that are not available on some older iPhones such as iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, XS, XS Max, iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 Pro. Some features of iOS 15 are only available on iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

As someone with an iPhone XR, It makes me happy that apple is trying to hold on to it for a long time in terms of support. I think it might be kind of like the next iPhone 6S in terms of how may updates and still getting the latest features it receives.

Is iPhone XS considered newer or older than the iPhone XR? Asking specifically for the continuity camera feature

I think some of these features would work on older devices. For instance, the Siri Call hang up, or emojis in dictation. I think they do this to force people to upgrade if they want these features. Also, the iPads got the biggest hit though. Literally none of the iPad Pro models support Stage Manger. They say just the M1 Chips. When I know good and well. The A12Z and even A10X could all handle it.
