Thanks for putting Love In the Big City on my radar, Eric! I love seeing LGBTQ novels that go beyond tropes and really explore lives. I think publishing has come so far in the past few years. I'm a cis-hetero woman, but these books still resonate. (I loved 100 Boyfriends too, such a funny and moving read.)

I really wish I can get my hands on Jean Rhys books - they are hard to come by in my country unfortunately. But I'll check Love in the big city and 100 Boyfriends in the meantime :) Thanks for putting them on my radar

I just finished this book and really enjoyed it! Im someone who is studying to be a korean translator and found this translation really interesting. I noticed that Hur left many words like "hyeong, eonni, seonbae..." in korean and it made me curious how a person who maybe doesn't know Korean would take these words. Contextually, i think all the information is there, but Id love to hear your thoughts :)

Hey Eric/anyone reading this comment!, could you recommend me any gay romance novels where the ending isn't sad/or someone dies (a friend of mine is in his first relationship but a lot of the literature he can find that focus on gay relationships are negative or sad/ don't reflect his own experience as a gay man in a relationship) thankyou in advance 😊
