I don't need this set, but now I want it!

I own the older version without the handle and its the tool I use the most for car interiors and barley accesible engine parts. it often comes in really handy!

Great review. I got this set with the intention of using it to work on my Suzuki motorcycle. I find the components to be very well made; the only downside for working on a Japanese motorcycle is that Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) bits are not included (though I hardly expected them to be).

If Lufthansa First Class handed out in-flight toolboxes, that is what Wera would be.

These little kits are very neat, but feel more like something you'd bring with you in a backpack on a very long bicycle or trail-bike ride as an emergency toolset rather than as a primary one for servicing.

I've always struggled to wrap my head around the size of handles when there's no hand to show relative to the tool. This is really helpful in figuring out the practical size of all of the parts of this set. Great stuff!

They are made to be beaten, carved and filled with oil or to be placed in a showcase as a souvenir???

I'm not sure why you need both torx and security torx. Is the hole really a weak link?

, I've just re-watched your video, to see if the hex bits (Allen keys) are actually "hex plus" and am pleased to find they are ! Can't find anywhere, where it actually states that they are indeed "hex plus", (must have missed the first time I watched your video, lol, , , , )
All the best from England..

So when everyone goes primarily metric will the drive size then be referred to as MM? Take these imperial vs metric sets for example—both sets use a 1/4 inch drive.

The Amazon link for the metric set actually goes to KC Tool.... I do wish they made the ratchet longer, it would be more useful that way.

It looks too small to me. I prefer the Zyklops system. I use the small Zyklops kit to do work on 90% of the fasteners on my KTM 1290. Pretty much only the high torque fasteners for axles etc can’t take Zyklops, but everything else (torx, hex and sockets to 14mm) are fine. 3 years of maintenance and the Zyklops is like new.

Nice but how fast will you lose them? However, if you spend a shit ton of money on them, you might be inclined to be a bit more careful

For people who live in Europe: this is an adress where they offer a nice price for this set.
I'm stil tempting to buy.
I found a Knipex/Stahlwille/Wera set with toolcart inlay from a closingdown firm on the Dutch "Craigslist" site. I have to buy that first.

Last month this set was on sale by a local company. It was rebranded to the brand Format. Wera was stil writen on every bit or nut. Format buys tools from other companies and sells those under own name and colors. The Hazet 162N or 166N toolcart is also available in red if you like

Edited because of writing failures

One would think, on a channel that brands itself “german tool review”, the review would include whether or not the tool is actually made in Germany....
But no.
We have to search other videos to find this out.
Get it together man.

I've had the Tool-Check Plus set (metric) for about a year now and while I don't use it all that often it has worked well those times I have used it. While the rachet almost looks like a toy, it's very well made. Wera actually has a online video of them tightening a lug nut to 100 N-m (about 74 ft-lbs) and then using the Zyklop mini (with a breaker bar) to loosen the nut. I also very much like the "organization" nature of the set, it's very easy to tell at a glance if anything is missing. My only quibble is that the ratchet and especially the driver handle are just a little too small. The set comes with #2 and #3 Phillips (or Pozidriv) bits and I have found it difficult to loosen (or tighten) a larger screw with the driver handle. Basically one has to break the screw loose with the ratchet and then use the driver to finish removing it.

As I said, I don't use it all that often and it sits in one of my tool bags most of the time. I just noticed that one of the two plastic pins that attaches the drive handle holder to the body of the case as failed. Haven't contacted Wera about it yet. On the bright side, none of the sockets have ever fallen off their holders.

I have the older version of that set with non color coded sockets. It's an extremely handy and compact set even if the kraftform handle is a little on the small side. I'm not a fan of the color coded sockets and would like to see the addition of stamped size markings instead of just the laser etching.
