I got gifted a 14 pro a couple weeks ago and switched from Android (my last 2 phones were Motorolas). While my experience has been fairly positive, I quickly missed a few Android features: full storage access and ease of file management, scrolling screenshots, split screen, and the horde of free play store app options.

As long as your iphone run the lastest ios they are more or less the same in terms of user experience. You need to be a apple fanatic and compare the phones side by side before you can tell from a glance which year the phone is from and what camera upgrade have been done.

One thing to note is that some cameras apply noise reduction to the raw images so that they look cleaner out of the box (I didn't say Apple does it ;)

86 hour endurance rating for a device thats like 1000 usd, but when reviewing the Xiaomi 11T/12T it had "only" 96 hours or so, granted a much larger battery, though it costs 1/3 of this device

Great review, thanks for doing that.
A professional photographer I know says this is the biggest step up camera wise from the previous model for some time.

I like the improved video stabilization, it looks great for the range of samples I've seen. The auto focus on the selfie is handy for web calls when moving around (which I do).

The redesigned innards make repairs easier and the phone itself stronger which is handy.

I like the idea of island and the retention of the lightning port is especially important for me as I have a range of lighting accessories (including a Shure lighting to mmcx ear bud cable with in-line dac and mic, handy as the iPhone outputs true bit audio, unlike my android phones which down sizes high res audio at the android layer, though there are ways to get round android for that).

Yeah it looks like a pretty good phone but only worth getting if you have an 11 or older . I get it some people will update even if they got the 13 pro …you’re not gonna see a gigantic difference and I’m guessing once the newness of the phone wears off it won’t seem I any different at all actually .
