What an honor and privilege it was to fly the "Hun". The challenges of flying that impressive aircraft must have been exhilarating.

He's one guy you don't want to tell a short story. I really enjoyed the way he tells it.

Whow Vic Vizscarra the Nose art Legend, his F-105D with the famous Nose art "Pussy Galore II " was sure a joy for every KC-135 Boom operator.

My dad told me that same story about losing control and the importance of letting go of the stick which is so counter intuitive. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that lesson goes for life too.

Another excellent piece and thankyou for introducing us to another fantastic person. I loved listening to Vic talk. Looking forward to seeing more from him in the future. I think it's safe to say he has enough for a Q&A at some point (hopefully?). Great work Mike.

Thank you Vic for sharing your story and those of your fellow pilots. There would not be as much information about these great pilots and their aircraft without you. Thank you very much for your service

Wow…. This video pried loose a lot of memories. Reese AFB …. I was in ROTC at Texas Tech when that base was closed. It was a very sad day. I miss the years when there were bases all over the US. It helped small communities and it gave the military a way to disperse assets in case of attack. I used to live in Victorville and watched George AFB closed after the gulf war..

Excellent! A genuine pleasure to listen to this humble but obviously superb Fighter Pilot.

I've been learning more about the Hun lately, and frankly that necessity to fly using only the rudder at slow speed sounds damn frightening! Three nose over tail forward 'rolls' ??!!?? I think that I would be shaking like a leaf!

Thank Both of You for Your Time!

Cheers!

Honestly I don´t get it why this channel doesn´t have several 100k views on all of your videos with this great chaps! This is so much more fascinating than most of the rather poor researched YT videos on various ac! Let alone the stupid videos about DCS, where people think they know as much as real pilots bc they play videogames!

Keep up the great work, your interviews provide the greatest first hand insights for ac enthusiasts!

BTW, if I may ask for a topic: Can you get a F-101A/C and/or a (C)F-101B pilot for an inerview?
I always loved the century series, and I think the F-101 is underrated.
There is so much about the RF-101 in ´Nam and the F-101´s competitors like the F-104, F-105 and F-106 (really loved your interview about that with Bruce Gordon), but information about the 101A/C fighterbomber and the 101B interceptor is very rare!

If you are interested, I maybe can get you in contact with an Austrian army helicopter pilot who flew missions at the border to Slowenia during the beginning of the Yugoslav war in the early 1990´s.

Greetings from Austria!

If you mastered the Hun you could fly anything.
That sums it up all pretty well!.
Thanks, Vic!.
