The 2S4 Tyulpan is a Soviet 240 mm self-propelled heavy mortar.
This self-propelled system with a weight of 30 tons and a standard crew of 5 is equipped with a 240 mm mortar.
Tyulpan was produced in 1969 and entered service in the Soviet Army in 1972.
The 2S4 has a range of 9,650 meters using standard high-explosive rounds, but a range of 20,000 meters using extended-range ammunition. In addition to the high explosive rounds, it can also fire armor-piercing, laser-guided, and cluster munitions, as well as chemical, neutron and tactical nuclear rounds.
It is not possible to carry this mortar as the heaviest mortar system in the world, and it is possible to move it with an aircraft like Ilyushin 76.
